This ElectraStim Axis review was initially supposed to come out way back in January of this year when they very kindly asked me to try out their new product. Alas after receiving and beginning to get a feel for it life had its wicked way and I had to take a long hiatus from the site to get my health in order so this is all a lot overdue, sorry!

The model that I’m reviewing is the beta version and not the production model that is now available for purchase. This shouldn’t make a great deal of difference to you, as at the time that I received it and more recently when playing with it again I never came up with any issues or bugs. 

The Packaging:

As this was a pre production model It didn’t arrive with any of the cardboard production packaging. It did arrive in a robust black carry case that has the Axis logo on the front. Inside there is a foam insert holding the unit in place as well as space for the USB charging cable, two accessory cables for plugging in your toys. There is also a stereo line-in cable, four conducive pads, a warranty card, belt clip and a pin for resetting the unit.

The ElectraStim Axis Electro Stimulator:

The ElectraStim Axis is 68mm wide, 111mm long, 23mm in depth and weighs in at 116g making it the biggest ElectraStim unit that I have used though not by much. It features 6 tactile buttons on the face of the unit and O-LED display screen for easy of use. 

It has two independently controlled outputs that utilise the 7 in built modes, which themselves have several different patterns/options each giving you a staggering amount of options for your play right out of the box. 

Wave Mode – Standard wave and massage patterns.

Pulse Mode – Standard Pulsing on and off patterns

Flick Mode – Flick the Axis forward as you would a whip to create a virtual spanking.

Tilt Mode – Tilt the Axis on its horizontal Axis to increase/decrease the intensity.

Proximity Mode – Create your own patterns/sensations by moving a hand closer to the front sensor

Microphone Mode – Use your voice or sounds to create stimulation from the Unit.

Line In – Connect it to a music device to let the music determine the patterns.

Other features include rubber back for easy grip, built in microphone and line in input as well as being fully USB rechargeable and the ability for patterns and modes to be added via update in the future.

ElectraStim Axis – In Use:

After taking the ElectraStim Axis out of its case I set about charging it which took at most 3 hours to get it to 100% and it boasts about 8 hours of play on a single charge. To be fair I didn’t really keep track of the time and I certainly can’t fuck for 8 hours straight anymore but I definitely got plenty of play out of a single charge. One thing that I can say though is that no matter how low the batter got, the intensity that the Axis could put out never dwindled!

I’m not going to talk about the wave or pulse modes in any depth as these are expected staples of most Electro Sex units and they work as well as they always have done. I’ve always enjoyed the idea of being able to electronically whip or spank my wife and the previously reviewed EM60 was great for this. However I found that ElectraStim have improved upon this even further with the Axis, it is far more controlled and accurate than it’s little brother and a joy to use!

I used the Tilt mode exclusively with the ElectraStim Jack Socket which for any dude that likes both wanking and electrocuting themselves I couldn’t recommend enough! The Tilt mode worked really well here for me, giving me very precise control of the level of intensity that was easy to adjust in order to edge myself closer to or further away from cumming. 

Proximity mode in my mind was the most intriguing for me and outside of line-in is by far the mode that I enjoyed using the most and between me and my wife is called fucking mode. Attaching this to her and using either the Silicone Noir Buttplug or the Sirius for some double penetration while using my body to interact with the sensor is by far the most fun I have had with ElectroSex in ages, this mode alone would have me screaming “shut up and take my fucking money!”

I’ve used several ElectroSex units that incorporate a microphone and while they have worked well in the past the Axis has put each of them to shame. Where I have struggled in the past to realise a naked lady writhing around on the bed, her screams causing the unit to activate to cause more screams in an endless loop of sadistic pleasure for myself the Axis has succeeded. Much to my wife’s pleasure and horror.

As a music nerd who generally has music playing from the moment he wakes up to the point he goes to bed, all the while searching for that ever elusive “perfect playlist” the line in mode was always going to work for me. Not so much for the wife who had to stay tied down on the bed for a couple of hours while I tried out different songs to see which created the best reactions from her. Followed by having to create a new “Songs to Electrocute your wife to” playlist.

Conclusion:

In all fairness I have only just scratched the surface of everything that can be achieved with the ElectraStim Axis. It provides you with everything you need in order to have a great electrosex experience and the only thing that is going to limit you is your own imagination. 

If you want something that is going to be fun solo, it has plenty of options to do that, if you want something that you can share with your partner it has plenty of options for that as well. If you want to torture yourself or your partner in any number of clever and imaginative ways, it gives you all the tools you need to do so. 

At £349 the ElectraStim Axis is an expensive piece of kit that isn’t really a beginners toy and is firmly for the enthusiast that knows what they are getting into and want to expand upon their experience. That said, of all the ElectraStim units that I have used this is by far the best. Maintaining their high standard of quality while both improving upon and adding to the technology and experience.
