Disclosure: I was sent the Nu-Sensuelle Homme Pro Rolling Ball Prostate Massager for free for this review by Latex Leather & Lace and would like to thank them for the opportunity to put it through its paces.

The Packaging:

The Nu-Sensuelle products that I received from Latex Leather & Lace were all sample versions so didn’t arrive in their branded packaging, so I can’t speak to what that may look like. However, what you do get in the box is the toy, a usb charging cable, a white drawstring storage pouch and a small leaflet with the instructions. All in all, a nice little package.

The Nu-Sensuelle Homme Pro Rolling Ball Prostate Massager:

The Nu-Sensuelle Homme Pro Rolling Ball Prostate Massager is made from body safe, medical grade silicone and ABS plastic. It features a long, angled shaft that is insertable up to approximately 6” and has a couple of bulbous sections and ridges to add stimulating texture. The tip of the shaft features a number of protruding nodules under which you find the main feature of the product; the rolling ball mechanism that moves back and forth in a come hither fashion.

There are three speed options for the rolling ball and there are a total of ten vibration settings, four different continuous vibrations and six different vibration patterns. The ball and the vibration can be controlled independently with two buttons at the base of the toy. It is USB rechargeable and a full charge will get you just over an hour or consistent use. Finally it is water resistant (not waterproof) and is available in black only.

In Use:

The word “unique” gets thrown around a lot in the sex toy business and more often than not it tends not to be the case and the Homme Pro’s rolling ball feature is not unique. I first came across this technology when I reviewed the Nexus Femme Cadence a few years ago. Since then I’ve used a couple of others but I couldn’t tell you their names, that’s how much of an impact they had on me. So when I initially picked up the Homme Pro and saw that this was its main feature I was honestly disheartened because otherwise it looked awesome.

The silicone shaft is soft and feels very luxurious to the touch and though there is a visible seam running down the middle it has been smoothed out to being barely noticeable to the touch. The plastic handle is well constructed and I like the addition of the silver which adds contrast to the colour.

The handle also has a clear strip on it that lights up with LED’s which give a visual display of the settings that are currently in use. The rolling ball is displayed in increasingly bright blue where as the vibrations are displayed in red either gaining increased brightness or flashing along with the vibration patterns which I think is a fantastic touch. The buttons are easy to press and reach, even when in use and there are separate controls for the rolling ball and the vibrations. A simple press will switch it on and repeated presses cycle through. You can switch the toy off either by cycling all the way through the settings or by just holding the button to turn them off.

Over the last few weeks I’ve had the Homme Pro up my ass more times than I can count and I both love and hate it. The rolling ball is by far the best of its kind that I have used so far and while it does sound a little whiny it is nowhere near as irritating to listen to as the Femme Cadence was. However I just couldn’t get on with it at all and I think that really has to do with the settings. There are three increasing levels of speed but I would argue that even the first one is a little too fast. It just jumps in and goes for it with no real build up, it was just uncomfortable as fuck for me.

On the flip side the shaft itself and the vibrations on offer I found very satisfying. The shape and the size of the shaft is very manageable for beginners and advanced anal players alike. The contours and particularly the two bulbous areas feel fantastic when slid back and forth, giving varying degrees of stretch for your sphincter to enjoy. The silicone does feel very smooth and it glides beautifully.

The vibrations aren’t the most powerful I have ever felt but they are still satisfying and translate through the shaft from the motor well. The four increase nicely and generally a consistent vibration is what I want in these toys. However to my surprise I found that the first and second pulse settings were by far my favourite. Maybe it was just the timing of the intervals but the vibrations on these settings felt far more powerful than the rest. And this along with manually sliding it in and out and pressing up against my prostate was the best way I found to enjoy the Homme Pro as the many orgasms can attest.

With the Homme Pro being water resistant it was very easy to clean with some water, antibacterial soap and some sex toy cleaner before leaving to dry and placing back in its storage bag for its next use.

Conclusion:

The Homme Pro ultimately for me was a hit and a miss. In terms of build quality, materials used, the fact that it is rechargeable and comes with a storage back are all great. As is most of the design choices that have been employed – the shape, the contours, size and functionality. But it’s main selling point is the rolling ball on at the tip and it just doesn’t work for me and I’m starting to think this technology never will. But that’s just me.

I would love them to do just a standard version of the Homme Pro where they remove the ball entirely and just have a tougher silicone tip. This is only because I enjoyed the vibrations that are on offer here which while not the most powerful are still very effective and finding a pulse setting that I enjoy is a rare thing indeed. It’s not going to be for everyone and if you have tried similar in the past and disliked it I doubt the Homme Pro is going to change your mind. If on the other hand you are new to this technology it may work well for you. Finally for those who do like the rolling ball tip then you will really enjoy this and it’s probably better than the one you have. I would say that £67 is a little steep but if you have the money it may be worth the risk.
